Race 11 Basket

It is hard to believe that it is now just over a year since last year’s inaugural AFRIKAPRO Final race which was held on 17 September 2022. Time literally flies when organising the AFRIKAPRO OLR series!

During this time of year, and especially at this stage of the race season, nimble footwork by the training team is required to prepare the pigeons for the longer races.

A lot of time is also spent in planning and setting the race date according to the pigeons’ condition as well as the weather forecast.

The decision was made to place the late arrivals of Race 10 in our recovery program.

Race 11 from 430km will take place tomorrow, 20 September 2023.

Weather conditions are predicted to be warm to hot, and will be a true test for the pigeons tomorrow.

A temperature of around 17 degrees Celsius is expected at liberation rising to a maximum of 31 at the loft shortly after the estimated arrival of the first pigeons at around 12 noon.
